National Skills and Innovation Competition

Chanaka Nilanka did Don Bosco Sri Lanka proud by winning the converted National Skills and Innovation Competition, which was recently organized by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Skills. He was awarded prize money of LKR 250,000 and a Scholarship to study in Germany. He received his award from the Hon. Minister of Education Bandula Gunawardena.

Chanaka was a student of Don Bosco Technical Centre Negombo where he completed his Bakery course. He belongs to the parish of Palliyawatta, Hekitta substation.

Among the many eminent personalities present during the award ceremony, the Provincial Superior of Don Bosco Sri Lanka, Rev.Fr.Nihal Liyanage, was also present.

DON BOSCO PHOTOGRAPHY EXHIBITION AND COMPETITION 2012

Sri Lanka celebrated 197th Birthday of Don Bosco with a meaningful “DON BOSCO PHOTOGRAPHY EXHIBITION AND COMPETITION 2012” (16 – 19 August 2012). At this occasion, the Salesian Family of the island commemorated the 20 years of publication of the SALESIAN BULLETIN in Sri Lanka and 135 years in the World.
